Lucid Dreaming Guides

From Alexander

In this post I am going to share 2 of the most comprehensive online resources on Lucid Dreaming. Lucid Dreaming is the term used to describe life-like and conscious experiences that occur during sleep. Most people would argue that the vividness, control, and content of our dreams cannot be controlled, but to complete the cliche - most people would be wrong.

Site No.1: THE LUCIDITY INSTITUTE INC

This site provides an informative and practical guide to lucid dreaming. It has been around for a while but still remains one of the most comprehensive free resources on the process of lucid dreaming, it covers topics including:

  • How to Remember your Dreams
  • Testing the Limits of Dream Control: The Light and Mirror Experiment
  • Prolonging Lucid Dreams
  • Psychophysiological Studies of Consciousness during REM Sleep
  • Comparing Lucid and Non-Lucid Dream Content

From THE LUCIDITY INSTITUTE INC:

In order to be able to recognize your dreams as dreams while they are happening, you have to be familiar with the way your own dreams work. Before it will be worth your time to work on lucid dream induction methods, you should be able to recall at least one dream every night.

Pivotal to lucid dreaming success are both dream recall and self-awareness. I have also noticed that consistent meditation increases the likelihood of a lucid experience, which goes hand in hand with developing self-awareness to reflect the clarity present in physical life towards the inner realms.

Site No.2: Dream Views

Dream Views is another great site with tutorials and information on lucid dreaming. It also features a well-established discussion forum that consists of a lot of helpful and friendly members.

From Dream Views:

Lucid dreaming, also known as dream consciousness or conscious dreaming, is dreaming while being aware that you are dreaming. At dreamviews.com you will find information on lucid dreams, controlling dreams, the stages of sleep, dream recall, dream signs and more.

Have you experienced lucid dreaming before? If you have I would be interested in hearing your experiences, feel welcome to post a comment below. If you found these resources useful - consider voting for this post on the social networks below so that others can also find these great resources.
