Perfect Your Bliss and Live Your SamadhiIt's in this place of stillness, that place inside each of us that no wind of chaos or time can extinguish that we find our personal bliss – our Samadhi.
There is one constant piece of the puzzle that each of us is rushing and chasing to catch – The Center. The Point of Balance Inside. No one knows what the core essence of a human being is, or at least not how to define it. Perhaps concepts like Feng shui and The Gestalt Effect of perceiving meaning among the disorder of life point towards the true nature of being. The essence remains when we take the persona and surface 'self' out of the picture. Our thoughts, emotions and actions seem to come together to make the whole individual. But the true essence of the individual is not the sum of those factors at all — it's what holds them together. Take a Spiritual Photo of YourselfImagine a Mental Self-image of Yourself. How do You Perceive Yourself? Now withdraw all of the judgments and thoughts present at that moment and See Yourself again without attempting to build the image from certain expectations or ideals. Take this moment and freeze it in time – a spiritual photograph. This is Your Moment. Imagine that – like a ripple caught in perfect stillness – nothing else is in motion. Now what remains? There is no doubt or fear in that moment because these things would set the flow back in motion and it would no longer be in stillness. Perfecting Your BlissBeing still, a flame burning among the endless wind of life is where Your Inner Bliss is found. Ask Yourself – what is the essence of who I am? The core being that exists beneath all the surface chaos of life. In a place where no judgment or fear reigns… in a place separate from time and space remains consciousness. Your Conscious and Original Being. Finding that essence is crucial to moving past the minor matters of this world – getting past short-term goals and uncertainties. Each of us believes that we have goals or dreams that we'd like to achieve in this lifetime, but there is something far more important within each one of us than a single goal or aspiration could matter. The sense of inner purpose. Your personal bliss. Since childhood I've responded in an ambiguous manner when people would ask about the goals I have for the future or who I want to become. I didn't realize what caused me to do this, until I became aware that the purpose of discovering the essence of who I am is the single true goal or purpose that I could have. It's the single absolute and all-important goal that it's possible for someone to have. It's not about finding the ideal career that will lead to happiness. It's not about meeting an ideal partner or becoming rich or famous. The ideals that our modern world strives for are all shadows of success and richness of life. True richness in life is: Finding Your Bliss and Living It. Finding Your BlissThere is something deeper than beliefs, values and even fundamental principles that make up a unique individual. Sure, we might perceive our cultural or religious background as the driving vehicles that shape the road ahead. Most people even base their decisions on a future image, a photograph of their ideal state that drives them towards success. But what is that image based on? Consider the Basis of Your Future-Spiritual-Photograph. Is it in alignment with Your True Self at the present moment — The eternal flame of consciousness that cannot dissipate? Or is it based on a path that is out of alignment? Each of us has the power to find their own personal bliss, but this has nothing to do with achieving set goals or meeting external standards. Rather, it's about self-awareness and coming to terms with the individual being that is separate and stands alone from imposed ideals and belief structures. No doubt happiness or inner peace cannot be reached when the goals we perpetuate into the future are not based on this deeper individual self. 5 Questions to Ask Yourself
Living Your SamadhiSamadhi is the consciousness state known as bliss or personal enlightenment. Going deep enough in meditation a person is able to experience this profound sense of consciousness and inner bliss. There is not much use going into this deep state of meditation and to experience this profound state just to come out of it and live a life that is out of alignment. Yet so often this is how meditation is perceived. People separate meditation and real life – Enlightenment into Buddhist Temples and living into Urban Cities – Inner Peace into Self Reflection and Outer Chaos into all the rest of it. I don't think it's that simple to separate two seeming opposites at all. It's far more important to live one's personal bliss than it is to keep it private or separate from 'real life'. Finding one's personal bliss is about getting past the dualities of goals and achievements and looking to the true nature of Being: Being Present in Yourself (As You Are). All other states are out of balance and this is often where discontentment and unhappiness originate. To be in balance one must first align their present and future spiritual photographs of themselves. Then one can live through their personal bliss rather than living separate from it. Let Yourself Radiate OutwardsYour true self radiates outwards making it possible to Live Your Samadhi and Share Your Bliss with the world. On the other hand holding onto a false sense of future fulfilment or looking for happiness in beliefs and principles that shake in the wind makes it far more difficult to live this personal bliss, let alone discover it. It's in this place of stillness, that place inside each of us that no wind of chaos or time can extinguish, that we find our personal bliss – our Samadhi. But there is little benefit in finding it and then leaving it behind. Sharing Your Bliss with others and the world is as important as discovering it. Getting past the blockages to that eternal individual flame is perhaps what concepts like Feng shui deal with after all. Perhaps life is not about building up the ideal and perfect self. Perhaps it's about removing the obstacles we put up and letting ourselves flow with minimum obstruction in the right direction. |
