Personal Discoveries

Making discoveries that mean something does not make them real for others. Landing on the moon is complete for the person who has done it but incomplete for one who has not. The discoveries on a personal level such as; listening to a song for the first time or learning how to speak or a first kiss; are unique to each person. However instead of experiencing new things with expectations or social bias we could just as easily experience them in the fullness of awareness.

To experience something in its fullness we fill our mind with awareness of the experience itself, rather than our thinking, or judgments of the experience. No absolute truth is more important than personal meaning.

Life experiences for each person mean that awareness is different for each individual person – so what holds us back from making the most of our personal experiences rather than seeking to fit in with pre-existing discoveries claiming to be best for us instead?

The shades of awareness are apparent in the difference between subconscious and conscious aspects – the difference between a thought and an experience. The ultimate achievement of the individual is to become aware of their driving subconscious force, not as an idea but as an experience.

I have found it is distasteful for the most part to question our existence or the meaning of this existence among social circles. To live an unfruitful but tolerable life seems commonplace in our world. For some, however, the acceptance of the surface of life is not tolerable and the constant feeling of something not being quite right is ever present.

The material, the conscious world, is appealing, but it does not explain our subconscious drives and what compels us to impose certain experiences according to social ideals rather than using the gift of awareness each one of us possesses.

Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when an individual does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses their intelligence.
