3 Reflections on Meditation
by AlexDIn this post I would like to share a few recent posts on meditation made on other blogs. The first post entitled Meditation and Life purpose explores the powerful effects of introspection meditation can bring about. The second post explores meditation as a personal process and how a personal approach is more important than getting the right technique.
My first few years of meditating were, now I look back, a not particularly satisfying experience, the determined application of a too-rigid technique that felt hardly my style. But it’s important, in the end, to find one’s own way, because I suspect that when it comes down to it, meditation is too intimate a business to really be just a matter of technique.
The third post, Giving up Our Ideas of the World to See What is Before us is a short but true piece of wisdom that I would recommend looking at. The blog that this was posted at features a number of other short pieces of wisdom that I found inspiring.
Enjoy reading.
