The Binding Reflection of Life

There is a pull in all interactions that involves either a resistance or an acceptance. If a person resists or accepts a thing a certain merging of consciousness takes place - we become that which we accept or reject.

Of course this acceptance process is often subconscious and not part of our decision-making process. It is also probable to relate such interactions to our thinking and creative patterns which often consist of resistance and acceptance prior to resolution. This resolution often occurs on a magnitude of levels - mental, physical, emotional etc.

For example, several people report reading each other’s thoughts and feelings after living together for a long period of time. However I contend that in this process not just a reading is occurring, but an entire merging of consciousness. It is possible for a person to phase in and out of merged consciousness - consider group meetings, relationships, or friendships where a person merges into a certain level of consciousness and then phases out after breaking the interaction.

This merging of consciousness is not exclusive to people, but can even be noted in places, music, art, and most other experience. Perhaps when watching a movie at the theatre a person merges their consciousness into the external stimuli that is being presented. In some events we might feel cold when a scene of Antarctica is being shown to us - for example. Our consciousness is not fixed. It binds and reflects to take on the shape that life presents to us.
